Dive into your own ocean

In-person and online counselling services for women experiencing life changes

When we trust that we are the ocean, we're not afraid of the waves

Lycia Rodrigues

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors with more than 15 years of experience in the combined fields of Counselling and Psychology, as a clinician, workshop facilitator and therapeutic group mentor. I have a Psychology degree from the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (Brazil), Masters from the University of Victoria (Canada) with a focus on healthy aging, and extensive Post-Graduate Training in Psychotherapy and Perinatal Mental Health.

I believe that healing begins when we allow ourselves to be truly seen — not just for what we do, but for who we are.

For more than a decade, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside women navigating moments of change, loss, and rediscovery. My work is guided by empathy, compassion, and deep respect for each person’s story. I offer counselling for women facing burnout, anxiety, depression, infertility, motherhood challenges, grief, and identity transitions. I also support family caregivers and immigrant women who are rebuilding their sense of belonging in a new place.

In my sessions, you’ll find a space of safety and reflection, a place where you can breathe, explore, and reconnect with yourself. Together, we’ll uncover the meanings hidden in your experiences and help you move toward a life that feels more whole and authentic.

Every conversation is an invitation to return to yourself, gently, one step at a time.

Let's go together?

Another chapter of my life: immigration

Moving to another country was one of the most transformative experiences of my life. Leaving behind everything familiar language, culture, community, taught me not only about resilience but also about vulnerability.

As an immigrant, I learned that belonging is not just about where you live, but about how you connect with yourself and with others. This personal journey has deeply shaped the way I support women who are navigating cultural transitions, grief, and the sense of starting over.

In therapy, I bring both professional knowledge and lived experience to create a space of understanding and safety for immigrant women. Together, we explore identity, loss, and the beauty of rediscovering who you are in a new chapter of life.

Location

My practice is based in Victoria, BC, in a quiet and welcoming space designed to help you feel safe and at ease from the very first moment. Every detail of the environment – the light, the textures, the silence – was thought of as part of the healing process. We are located in a quaint cottage nestled in the trees and close to the ocean in Westshore
